About Carelayer
Care operations made clearer for agencies and field staff
Carelayer is a digital care operations application for UK domiciliary care agencies. It brings together care worker onboarding, compliance evidence, staff availability, shift scheduling, published support plans and medication administration records. The aim is to give office teams a clearer view of day-to-day operations while helping field staff find the current information they need before and during a visit.
The application is designed for agency administrators, care coordinators and carers. Administrators can review uploaded workforce documents, organise assignments, manage care plans and oversee auditable medication records. Carers receive a focused workspace for their own documents, shifts and the records of people assigned to them. Access controls keep personal and operational information limited to the appropriate signed-in users, while human approval remains central to compliance and clinical decisions.
Carelayer is built and maintained by the care organisation operating this deployment, using the Base44 application platform. Its AI-assisted features are designed to explain or draft information, not replace professional judgement, agency policy, clinical advice or emergency procedures. Each organisation remains responsible for configuring its workflows, checking generated content and ensuring that staff use the service in line with applicable UK care, privacy and medicines requirements.
